A case of kitty sniffles

Yesterday our tubby gray kitty Colby came down with a bout of sneezes and sniffles. Although this has happened in the past, it's never fun to get used to. The poor guy doesn't hide when he's feeling blue like many other cats do. He's a bit lower on energy but still hangs out at his usual spots at the end of our bed, on the couch, and on their perch by the window. Tonight while Sarah and I watched the latest Smallville Colby lounged in the snug triangle created by my leg on the couch. He certainly got his fill of love and attention since I barely took a hand off him during the entire show. Since he's had colds like this before we probably won't take him to the vet unless it's persistent or seems to get worse. As far as I'm concerned, the best medicine for a sick kitty like this is lots and lots of love. Although I feel for him, it's slightly amusing when he does his little half-meow, chirp to get our attention it now gurgles just a bit with the runny nose he has. He's even cute when he's under the weather.
