Another Dock Street Blip

Dock Street is prepping the final touches to put on its best face for the hundreds of thousands that will stop by in the next couple weeks. The stylish light posts that already grace the area around MoG and Thea's Landing now extend past 15th Street all the way to the Murray Morgan Bridge. They're a beautiful touch that I hope one day extend all the way down (along with some of that spiffy new sidewalk, etc) to the park and connection with Schuster.

This addition plus the new "D" Street overpass connection, the incoming Thea's Market, the Balfour Docks renovation, more condo and office space construction, the Train to Trek, a spiffy new pedestrian staircase from 15th down to Dock Street, and so much more is helping this area become simply amazing. I can't wait for all those Tall Ships visitors to see and love Tacoma.

The stairs weren't open as of a day it two ago. Keep your eye out tho cause I imagine it'll be any day now.

Now how about putting those power lines underground? That post and lines really mar that otherwise nice streetscape.
