Firefox 1.0 released

As you can tell by the large and in charge "Get Firefox" logo at the bottom of the pages on my site, I'm a fan. Well, today the Mozilla Firefox web browser released its 1.0 version that is available for download and will rock your web browsing world! Safer, simpler and more secure than IE (a.k.a. the big blue "e" on your desktop) Firefox adds built-in popup blocking, easy to organize bookmarks, browsing of multiple pages within a single window (tabbed browsing) and libraries of user created extensions (see my favorite Firefox extensions) that will tell you the weather or launch poorly coded websites in IE (among other things).

For those of you who've endulged me and been kind enough to have already loaded Firefox on your computer let me first say "Bravo!" You've taken the giant leap for web browsing kind and should be praised for it. Now you can seek comfort in the fact that Firefox is now a 1.0 piece of software that you should make certain to upgrade to. For those of you still using the big blue "e" you should give Firefox a whirl. If you care about computer viruses and popup windows, this browser's certainly for you.

To the Firefox team: Cheers on a fantastic product and here's to future enhancements and innovations! Keep up the fine work!
