An afternoon with some Freitas folk
Sarah and I packed our things and cruised down to 99 toward Fresno. Destination: the new house of my cousin for a Father's Day gathering. We arrived at their place early and got the chef's tour of the new house from proud owner (and my cousin) Henry. Eventually everyone else showed up including my uncle and aunt, a few cousins and spouses with kids. We spent the afternoon outside in the shade of the patio and ate some Portuguese sopis and caught up with everyone we could. Sarah and I also had a chance to show some photos from our wedding and honeymoon and share any stories therein. After what seemed too short of a time we took some group photos and then headed out with my cousin Krissy to see her place (and cats).
From there we drove back to Sacramento and stayed the night in a hotel before our departure tomorrow. On the menu for dinner: NY Pizza Plus served up by a Russian Mafia family (not really) and some awful movies in the hotel room including the end of Rush Hour and the end of The Last Star Fighter.
