'hello, cupcake' going in along Pacific
That blank canvas of a commercial space at 1740 Pacific will soon become Hello, Cupcake. Mentioned previously, it seems there won't be a shortage of interest. This also answers a question our friend Angela had about the space -- she took a peek in a saw what looked like store shelves and a display case. No word on an opening but my guess is soon since they see fit enough to put a sign in their window.
That makes a nice, sweet bookend between that place and the candy and popcorn place right next to Abella's. Just enough distance to walk off some calories when "candy crawling" your way through Tacoma. ;)

I can't believe I got scooped on this one. I took some photos an hour ago and was about to send them to you! I have nearly the very same ones shown.

Also, For an example of Life imitating Art you can go to the Corina bakery where they are producing cupcakes that look just like the ones in Ms. Darcy's paintings (hanging at the Corina)! Ms. Darcy brings magic to any confectioner business, guaranteed!

hello, cupcake, the much anticipated cupcake shop between BKB & Company gallery and South Sound Running in downtown Tacoma will have a pre-opening event Thursday, Aug. 30 followed by a grand opening celebration this weekend.

Just stopped in at Hello, Cupcake today. Cute shop! Great looking cupcakes. Sadly, I'd had lunch at Grassi's (just up a ways), so I wasn't the least bit hungry! Will have to go back. :)
