Central Tacoma beauty on the market
I don't normally post about homes for sale but this one's special. Our great friends Angela and Steve live there currently and we've spent plenty of time there. So, I figure I can vouch for the place. So, yea, it's awesome. First, it's huge. The top floor has the master bedroom along with room for storage and a bathroom. The main floor has nice high ceilings, formal dining area, and an overall grand but comfortable feel. Plenty of space to entertain and a neat entrance area (I don't know all the fancy names for things). The kitchen has plenty of storage and even a breakfast nook toward the back. There's good space for an office and a bedroom or other project room as well.
The basement is a great place for living. There's plenty of room for laundry machines and storage but the main family room just rocks. There's a full kitchen down there! There's also easy access to the back yard. Oh, the yard itself is pretty large for an urban lot and 3/4 of it is completely enclosed and pet-ready.
There's even custom wood work and shelving throughout the house. I think I've got most of it.
I have mixed emotions on this one because this means our good friends are probably going to move out of Tacoma 'cause they won't be able to afford anything similar here in town. Shame since they truly started enjoying this town only a year or two ago. Stupid housing market! For the size, condition, and location of their place thought the price, in my opinion, is a steal!
(I'm sure KFnet friend and home seller in this case Angela will chime in if I missed anything)

You did great, Kevin. We're sad to be leaving the place but since we've both gotten new jobs out of Tacoma we'd like someplace that will reduce at least one, if not both, of our commutes. Steve's always wanted land somewhere so this might be the opportunity to finally get that five acres.
My secret hope (at least 'til this posting) is we'll find some quiet, shady spot on a half to a full acre somewhere in Milton or Fife Heights where we can still come to town and hang with you guys!

Nice posting Kevin. The house is big and a family with kids would love this place. Trust me my first intention is not to leave friends and family behind. If Angela & I are fortunate enough to sell at a good price before finding something else we will rent until something feels right. The profits from this house will allow for a better future. Where will we end up? There are a lot of factors that play into that one. Yes I want 5-acres but as Angela mentioned before there are still little pockets here and there that have potential. When the right one comes along we'll know. As for now let’s spend time together this summer and enjoy our friendship and see where life sends us.
Your Friend,
Steve
