Just the week

So everyone returned from the long Holiday weekend relatively unscathed. Sarah's flight was about four hours later taking off than planned (my theory: Solar storms) and friends coming in from the eastern portion of the state added about 7 hours to their trip once they hit the passes. With the week now started many are counting the hours to the end of finals and the start of Christmas and New Years break. This while I realize that, for the first time, mine will be somewhat different from the past. I work. And as holidays are concerned it's a whole new ballgame. Where I used to have the full 2 weeks off with everyone else I have to try my best to get Christmas and a few days around New Years off. Although, given my current position, I don't think I'll have any trouble doing so, it'll be strange knowing that all my buddies are reveling in their vacation while I sit at work. Good thing I love my job!
