A Lute plays the lute in Old Town, 12/12
Classical Tuesdays in Old Town Tacoma are still going on with a performance by a professor from my alma mater. Elizabeth Brown will be performing lute and guitar music Tuesday night starting at 7pm at the Slavonian Hall near the corner of 30th and N Carr Streets. From Ms. Brown's website:
Solo lute and modern guitar on a world-tour with English, Dutch and French masterpieces for Renaissance Lute, followed by exhilarating music from Spain and the Americas for classical guitar. Throughout the performance Ms. Brown will share stories about the composers, give historical context and provide insights on this wonderful music.
Admission to the recital titled "Two Sides of the Rose: Music for Lute and Guitar" is free. Sarah and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a percussion ensemble at October's performance so I'm sure will enjoy this. See you there!

Kevin, it's great to hear you've enjoyed our series. We're starting our 3rd season next week.
Our posters are up in the neighborhood, and I've started a blog to announce our concerts. If you make it to a concert this season, be sure to say hello!
