Local Photo Phun III - Trace this track
I haven't revived the previous satellite photo phun entries (which I may still do) but figured I could mix it up a bit with real photos. Heck, I take enough! So, tell me, where do you think the following shot was taken?

No prizes except bragging rights but bonus bragging rights if you link to a map of the spot! It's a great pothole though considering it reveals a view into our past. If only other potholes could be so rewarding...
Happy guessing!
PS: Feel free to email me any of your local photos you'd like to try and stump folks with. Thanks!

I believe I know exactly where this is. If I am wrong, then there's another trolley exposing pothole you should check out. I believe this is on South Delin St. (between Pacific and Tacoma Ave. next to the Holy Rosary church/school). For the past four years I've enjoyed driving over the exposed track there (until they took out my bridges!). Every year the city patches it up and within six months it's exposed again.
If you look at the road, which splits off Pacific just south of South Tacoma Way, Its obviously an ex-streetcar grade; to be exact, the connector line between Pacific and the Tacoma Ave. trackage which switched over to South G. and headed south to turn on S. 38'th and again on South M.St and Yakima Ave.
If I am right, this photo is facing northwest towards the South Tacoma Way gulch. Of course, I could be totally wrong!

Nick -- you are so right! What a cool reminder of a little bit of our history. Know any other cool spots like this showing old exposed rails in town? If so, we could make a Google map of 'em for folks to use for visits.
