Narrows Bridge part rolling toward Tacoma + video (update 1)
As Erik pointed out earlier that huge expansion join is now on the road from Spokane to Tacoma. You can track it's progress here. WSDOT even posted a video of the roll-out from Spokane on YouTube that I bring to you here.
Fun stuff. That thing's friggin' huge! I started up a topic over at the FeedTacoma forums that if the piece gets into town at a reasonable time I'll be out on the Pacific overpass of I-5 cheering it on. Anyone's welcome to join in the fun if you like. Check back here or in that topic to find out if I plan to greet it.

Update - GPS down (2007-04-12 @ 6:31am)
The WSDOT page with the tracking of that bridge piece reports that their spiffy GPS is down and out. They'll provide blog-like update on that page. Bummer, too, since now I won't know when to hit that overpass to cheer them on and greet them in Tacoma. :(

I've read that this is probablly that fastest the thing will be travelling.
