Video ~ Narrows bridge goes dark
As I mentioned last week, the new Narrows bridge is no longer going dark but is dark. Efforts to light the bridges are going well and you can always get involved by visiting NarrowsBridgeLights.org. The group already has $1.5 million in the state budget (not bad for 5 months work) and hopes to continue its success with funds from other sources to get the job done.
The following video shows the darkening of the bridge as seen from a couple WSDOT cameras between May 1st and 14th.
Don't let this be an end but rather a call for a new beginning for our incredible Narrows bridges.

What can people do to keep the bridge lit up?

The can head over to NarrowsBridgeLights.org and click on the "Get Involved" section to see who they can write in Gov't for support. Anyone can also email NarrowsBridgeLights@gmail.com to lend their support and get on the groups mailing list.
Private donations aren't currently being sought but may be in the near future.
