New cross street
Not much to say for a relatively regular Friday other than we're going to soon be living on the first floor of a mint-green house at the corner of 6th and Sheridan. After a visit yesterday with the landlady, Sarah threw in her approval for renting this gem. After we all analyzed our finances we will take charge of paying rent on two houses for two months so we would have first dibs on this one. Without feeling pressured we wanted to act with much haste so a planned open house wouldn't take place on the 'morrow. I helped Sarah and Gavin finish up the renter verification form and gave word to Linda that we want nothing more than to be her tennants. So, with that we'll send her a check of about half the deposit and she'll take us on a tour of the house after all the updates are complete.
Although I haven't displayed much outward excitement towards this move I'm now settled with our choice. As with my recent new car, I reserve excitement so as not to offend or gloat but also to avoid the possibility of things going sour. Call it superstition, call it paranoia, but I'm just trying to reserve my outward glee for the extra-ordinary. Can't be too easy to please you know.
