An old floor made new
Before Sarah, the kitties and I move into our new house we had new appliances delivered and the hardwood floors exposed and refinished. I got my first look tonight at the beautiful hardwood after their first coat went on. I jetted over to the place after some dinner and first noticed the insane fumes that permeated every corner of the house. The floor guy, Mario, warned me as such over the phone earlier today but I thought with a far and some open windows I should have no trouble finally getting the dishwasher hooked up. No dice. I decided to go outside once my nostrils began to burn and run. The floors, however, already look awesome! I bravely looked at them briefly from the kitchen then peeked through the windows to see all of it. I can't wait to move in!
So as to not make this trip a total productivity bust I grabbed some of the gardening tools Sarah shuttled over this weekend and pulled up some weeds in a planter in front of the house. Time is running out this week so I hope to start packing up whatever I can grab the next few nights in hopes of making this weekends moving extravaganza that much less time consuming. Here's the wishful thinking!
