Heavy rain, no snow

Well, the local news channels would like to think they have this stuff down but they don't. Yesterday's prediction of snow today petered into an after thought. Too bad for them they can go out and get icy stock footage to use in self-promoting commercials about how they're the first live reporting extreme Northwest weather on the scene with quadrupal doppler and twenty reporters ready at all ends of the Puget Sound region. Whatever. Just work on those forecase models.

So, yeah, it's not snowing which means I'll have no trouble getting to jury duty (more on that when I'm dismissed). It is raining pretty well, though and I can see out the window that some of the drops hitting it are more like very slushy spatters. So there certainly is white stuff out there it's just saving itself for the ski resorts -- all the patrons of which have been taking up religion and praying for a season full of fresh powder to counter last year's dry, pathetic ski season. Rain. Snow. It's all precipitation to me!

It is always a mixed blessing when it is a weekday--we love the snow, but not to commute in. Best if it saves itself for the weekend, except when there is a wedding!

Ah, the "twin" explains why the tree didn't fall off the car now. I was worried about getting it home safely, but Kevin certainly wasn't. He must've tossed his "twin" on top when I wasn't looking.

So, honey, does that mean those screams I heard from the top of the car weren't just you practicing your ventriloquist act? And that dark object that fell off the roof when you turned a corner wasn't a Sasquatch?

Poor Kevin. His mind works faster than his fingers, like someone else I know. The house is going to be so cute and smell so good. Can't wait so see it. Just put a hold on the snow please.
