Name that space - Step III: The Op Ed
With encouragement from frequent reader Erik and other like-minded folks I sent away an op ed that was published in today's News Tribune. The focus is on how I believe the process of renaming Pacific Plaza should be a very public one to raise awareness and garner a sense of ownership for the space.

The city council meeting on August 22 is the dealine for any of us to express our thoughts on this topic. Please stop in and vote on your favorite name before tomorrow morning. Once the results are in I'll make sure to post them here and send them over to the council as an example of the kind of involvement a guy with a website can muster up. If I can do it, the city certainly can.

We can all come see you at city council meeting on the 22nd.
However, since the public comments period is streamed live over the internet, perhaps we will be with you there virtually.
