Photos ~ Downtown panorama from 'D' Street
Our last Tacoma Photo Gang outing in the tideflats was a great time and I had another photo to share. I stitched together a panorama I took from "D" Street of downtown. It stretches from the 509 bridge to the south over to the 11th Street Murray Morgan Bridge to the north. It's a beast of an image but I've shrunk it down a bit for your viewing pleasure here.

Where's your favorite viewpoint to see and enjoy Tacoma? Here along "D" Street? Up near Stanley & Seafort's? Driving along I-5? Let me know in the comments below and I'll visit each recommended spot, shoot the view, the bring the pics back to show you here so you can vote on your favorite.

25th and Jefferson looking towards downtown.
Best view I think. You the industrial buildings and power lines and the modern buildings in the background.

Excellent combine job, Kevin! Very good panorama.
I used the only stitched panorama shot I've created (the West Coast Grocery writing on the back of a UW-Tacoma building, pieced together from three photos) as a desktop -- my new work gave me a dual monitor setup so I figured why not fill the entire 2304x846 span? :)

Yea, I decided to spare my visitors from the original that measured over 15,000 pixels wide. I really ought to do more of these though my hard drive might beg of me otherwise. ;)

Favorite: The Plaza in front of the Dome.
Honorable Mention: Fairbanks St. on the East Side. It makes Tacoma feel like a bigger city. There aren't any tall buildings that you can see from the North End to let you know downtown exists.
