Photos ~ Oily I Street in Tacoma

A failed chip sealing process from last year bubbled up as a problem during the recent 90 degree plus heat. I Street has become an oily mess causing problems for local residents and businesses. One lane of the road should be re-paved this week but expect delays. According to the News Tribune unfortunate cost for this failed experiment last summer was $40,000 -- re-paving will cost $134,000.

More here and here.
