Photos ~ Old City Hall photo safari
Thanks to Sharon of the Tacoma Photo Gang and to the City of Tacoma for arranging a great afternoon of shooting photos inside the Old City Hall building. There's too many to post now but I wanted to get a few up to whet your whistle. If you still want to get in there keep your eyes on the FeedTacoma calendar because another outing to this great building may be in the works to satisfy the already impressive demand.
I'll post more shots later but feel free to toss links to yours down in the comments or email them my way.

I have one, posted at http://irgth.net/20070313-0/
I'm hoping other people did better.

It was a great day. The clocktower was thrilling to explore and ring the bells.
As always, you've got interesting photos that are well composed. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

I can't wait until the last tenants move out and the place is restored. They are going to have a restaurant in the building apparently.
A large sign of Tacoma's revival will be when the clock on Old City Hall starts working again.

Sorry I couldn't make it, I was stuck at work about six blocks away. Will be looking forward to the next meeting (24th?) and to seeing everyone's pix.

Erik: Talk from one woman showing us around from the developer's office was that neither the clock nor those gorgeous bells would in working condition. I say we start a petition to have the clock work and the bells toll at least once a day.

The bells "sound" like a good idea since I live a couple of miles away. However if I paid $Bamillion for the penthouse, I might want to consider it further.
