Photos ~ Palace of the Arts and leaving San Francisco

After a couple great days in San Francisco today saw our last morning there. I headed out solo first thing in the morning to the nearby Palace of the Arts. It was a brisk but stunning morning and I enjoyed the structure and its environs. Once everyone was packed and I returned we all hit the Grove Cafe for one more delicious breakfast then hopped in the car to head back to Modesto. On the way we drove the length of the famous Fisherman's Wharf where we got a good view of a rather large cruise ship workers protest and the ever pointy Transamerica Building. Oh, and we got to see crops of power generating windmills doing their stuff in the hills on the way back. Once back in Modesto, we busted open a box of cupcakes Sarah snagged at Kara's from just around the corner of our hotel back in San Francisco. So very good was the cupcake eating.

Thanks to our cousin for showing us San Francisco and graciously driving us around everywhere. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon!

Thanks David. It was a beautiful couple days there and we really enjoyed ourselves. Don't know what the neighborhood off Lombard near the Palace and Presidio is called but I like. No views but close to all sorts of good stuff. I'm sure that means the rent is reasonable. ;)
