Photos ~ South Sound Tech Conference 2007

Just got back from a great morning and early afternoon at the South Sound Technology Conference. Despite being organized only within the last 3 weeks it was a rich even with some great insight and conversations shared. Thanks to everyone that attended, to Rep. Adam Smith's office for heading up the effort, and to Andrew Fry at UWT for his energy and willingness to help make today happen. Truly, just like that KOMO blogger meet-up, it's always great to chat with people about blogging and its many facets. We really should do this sort of thing more often. Mark Briggs, I'm looking in your direction!

In case you missed today's event I'll also be posting complete video of each panel and presentation. I'll start uploading tonight and will post a video program over at FeedTacoma this weekend.

Hey! Where is a picture of you? You did a great job with the focus topic on technology. For the short time you had, you provided some excellent and well organized information. I would really like a copy of your slides if possible.

I'll absolutely post my slides. When I post the videos I'll do so in a format like a program for the event and will provide my slides along with.

Droid: Got video of myself but, understandably, no photos. If anyone snapped one I'd love a copy for posterity.

Again, great event today and I'll continue to look forward to keeping these kinds of conversations alive.

There were announcements on most of the local blogs and only blips in the local Tacoma media. The event was smaller than years past mainly because it was only organized over the last three weeks.

I'm putting video of the event up that will include discussion capability this weekend. Look for it over at FeedTacoma.com

I am afraid I was unable to make the conference.

However, I thought the keynote speech by RR Anderson, available online, was pretty good. Very appropriate to have him keynote the conference. I hope the other speeches that followed are available online soon.

Its nice to see that despite his occassional tomfoolery, RR does have a serious side to himself when he discussed how the blogophere works in Tacoma and his support of the arts community.
