Photos ~ G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria!

I wasn't able to make it down for last weekend's Latino Fest but a by-product of it has dazzled me each morning this week on my way to work. Her name is Gloria and she's a stunning tall ship from Colombia. The masts rise up high above the nearby Balfour Dock building and are hard to miss if you're anywhere near Dock Street or 705. I stopped this last beautiful Monday morning to admire and snap a couple photos. Not sure if she's still down there (I'll update after my drive in today) but, if so, I recommend taking a look for yourself [ map ].

No dice. Looks like the Gloria sailed out yesterday. Why doesn't Tacoma invite vessels to come by year-round for tours and rides? Might add a nice vibrancy to our waterfront.
