Photos ~ Weekends Are Good For Surprises

Even when it's not quite a surprise anymore. But that's what Libby intended -- to come up to see my show. Though a post on her Facebook wall partially gave her up earlier in the week she could've easily still played it off and kept me in the dark. She was considerate enough not to but I was still floored. Her stint at UC Davis comes to a culminating head in the next couple weeks so, needless to say, she's a busy bee. Combined with some ears that just don't like to pop (seriously pain there) she blew me away coming up even without the surprise.

Anywho, we doddled around Saturday to the Proctor farmers' market, to get cupcakes downtown, then to my show after I helped make a great dinner. Today we relaxed before my matinee show and a wonderful dinner she prepped before the short weekend came to an end with my seeing her off at SeaTac airport. Even with precious little time it's amazing how rich and fulfilling each day can be.

Dang, neph, I gained 20 pounds vicariously just looking at the photos. Happy to see the Fresno State oil on the counter, though.

Your email address didn't work when I tried to email you.
Just wanted to drop you a line about your MeasureIt Firefox Plugin! :)

Hi Kevin,
I just installed your MeasureIt Firefox addon after reading a blog post about the new Mozilla Plugin Collections, and the Web Developer plugin collection.

Anyway, I just started using it and its quite handy.

I can see you already have a "future features list".

Two ideas I had immediately were.

1) Make the two values of x and y px's displayed in the grey tab top right editable, so after drawing a box the user can edit them.
2) Make it so that holding SPACE BAR allows you to move the box mid DRAG (while the mouse is still down) then when your release SPACE BAR, you can continue dragging.

I use this feature a lot in Fireworks and can't live with out it.

It allows you to quickly draw a box, hit space bar to reposition it more accurately then release and continue to resize that final amount all quickly in one mouse-down-mouse-up.

Anyway, just some thoughts.
Awesome plugin dude!!

Keep up the great work.

Cheers from Australia!

I follow the traces of Madhava Jay just to say thanks for the extension, and to tell you it seems to work perfectly with FF 3.5b4 , so you may want to add compatibility and bump the version in the manifest... ;)

Bye,Manuele

P.s.: my email got bumped (no such address), and your contact form on the site seems to be broken, sorry for littering the commens here, but this seemed the only way to contact you... :)
