Suddenly, I remember dreams again

To me dreams aren't a part of my daily life. Lately I've had zero recollection of pretty much anything that may fly through my mind while I'm in REM sleep. The last two nights, however, have been quite the opposite. Tuesday night I had a very video game-like scenario that involved me as the action hero who, for some reason, was repeatedly dashing around what I think was a shopping mall avoiding certain doom due to a nuclear or meteor strike. After each strike I would lose a guy (a.k.a. die) and respawn only to try it again. Finally, in the end, I found a particularly fortified portion of the mall (probably a larger chain store that gets to occupy the large growths off the side of most malls) and made it though the blast. Everything was a mess afterwards but I was alive and that was all that mattered. Don't really know what my purpose in that game could've been but the dream didn't produce any emotions like fear or anguish. Only adrenalin and the sense of a challenge were all I woke up with.

Last night it was a dream that was directly applicable from watching American Idol earlier in the evening. I was there, already in the first stages of making it to Hollywood, getting ready to go in front of the judges in hopes of staying in for the next round. I don't remember what or if I sang an entire song but I do recall taking a snippet or line of some song and funking it up over and over to help extend my impression on them. It was actually kind of fun but I'm pretty sure a 20-something bald guy would have little to no chance getting past the popometer the judges usually employ to pick their attractive first and talented next contestants. Oh, well. I don't give a $&#! what Simon thinks -- he can kiss my @$$ 'cause I'm going to make it big and they need to watch out 'cause this is my dream and they don't know talent! You'll see. %$&# them! Get that camera out of my face...! Yeah, I've got the attitude down -- maybe I am the next American Idol...?

I haven't a clue as to why all of a sudden I'm remembering dreams since I can't readily remember even having dreams lately. Maybe it's the slightly later bedtimes of the last couple nights (11pm versus ~10pm) or my pretty regular visits to the gym that grant my body better quality sleep or more energy to do so. I enjoy them and hope they keep coming 'cause they help keep sleep interesting. Now, if only I could dream up an invention that would make me millions... Here's to hoping -- or dreaming!

Oh! I also had another dream last night that a long-lost high school friend/college roommate came out of the woodwork and wrote me a lengthy email to catch up with me. Actually, that really did happen I was really happy to hear from him. I guess I should probably spend less time writing about it on my website and more actually replying to his message. Nevertheless, it's great to hear from you, Matt!

The same thing has recently happened to myself, have you got any feedback?

Not really, chrissy, except that I've had a couple nights recently where I remember dreams again without having done so for a while. I have no idea what causes this since my life doesn't change drastically when I remember them again. Maybe it's the weather or solar flares.
