Returning to a cloudy land

Matt and I woke up at 6am this morning from some much-needed sleep. Slightly chilled from a lack of blankets due to warm temperatures the night before we got up and took a couple pictures, packed up the tent, and hit the road while eating a simple breakfast of banana bread and leftover refried bean burrito. We looped around from our campground back onto I-5 after a brief delay from some road repair work. We crossed into Oregon and soon found ourselves under the cover of clouds that persisted north until sometime after Centralia, WA. Most of the ride was pretty quiet with only music covering up the drone of tires against the road. We chatted about a few different things but were mainly focused on getting home after a pretty intense couple of days.

Once I got home I unpacked and spent some quality time with Sarah and the kitties. After nearly a weeks absence from work and normal home life it's great to be back to continue the norm that is everyday life. Thanks for the supurb opportunity and experience Matt. Driving 2,100 miles in three days to see a historic event couldn't take place without the support of your best friend. I only hope that someday I can return the favor.
