Do you feel safer?

Thanks for taking today's poll. Although I have my opinion, please feel free to share your thoughts on this topic. This is a difficult day and represents a vulnerable and deadly moment for our country. I leave the floor to you to discuss as you need.

My heart goes out to all people effected by this date around the world. Today there are children without parents. Here. Among our troops. And among families in Iraq. Please don't forget the immense cost in lives incurred on both sides since that morning five years ago. For everyone's sake, let's try to find another way. Bombs are built to explode not to heal wounds.

On top of it all, Congress had to name it Patriots Day. What does that have to do with anything. I am a citizen of the planet we call Earth. Borders and fanatic nationalism got us into this mess. I do not feel any safer. I feel there is more tension globally and the "Ugly American" stereotype is how other nations see us, thanks to our present egomaniacal leadership.
