SarahChampion.com again
Yes, it's that time of year again, folks. The time when my lovely wife Sarah begins a new push to update her website. I kid, I kid. But seriously, she's giving it some new-found attention after a somewhat philosophical talk with me about what even to write about. I've had this discussion with her as well as Dave at work and haven't really formulated a good set of definitions about my own site. Is it a diary, journal, or blog? My answer is that it's a bit of everything. An online diary is writing that is of a very personal nature that holds secrets into the mind of the author. Journals are focused on the personal but don't necessarily often leap into the realm of philosophy but simply recount the day-to-day as a snippet of one's own history. A blog is a soap box for opinions and pseudo-supported ideas propped up by inline quotes and links.
KevinFreitas.net has dipped its pen into all of these. When I was a budding college student confused about love and his direction in life this site was more a diary. From there life's wrinkles became somewhat smoothed and I began using this as more of a time capsule with words and pictures to tell the future what life as me is like. Now, I'm afraid, the blogs have snuck in especially when it came to the 2004 election and my opinions therein.
So, for now, my site is pretty difficult to categorize. I may just have to think up some hip new term to describe this mutt of a site and its situation on the world wide web. Any suggestions?
