SETI@Home project detects strong candidate signal
In articles released yesterday a strong and consistent candidate signal for possible alien life has been detected. This will require much scrutiny and has yet to be undeniably confirmed but it appears to have shown up in multiple SETI@Home analysis. Read the New Scientist article » (source: http://www.newscientist.com/news/nographic.jsp?id=ns99996341)
I've been a SETI@Home member since the project began nearly six years ago and, to date, I've helped analyze 6,663 packets of raw data collected from the cosmos. To discover a signal would be the most incredible realization our planet could ever face. My fingers are crossed.

Man, I need to download the SETI@Home client again and get cracking. No way I'm going to chew through 6,600+ packets anytime soon, though. I'm going to need my CPU cycles for 3D rendering. :) You intrepid alien hunters can have my enthusiasm at the very least.

1. Bush's title is President. It's interesting how so many people use subtle language choices to discredit others.
2. To redefine marriage in the way you support is to undefine it. Marriage is not a mere union, but the cornerstone of family.

I apologize. I really shouldn't bring him down to the level or a mere mister. The title he truly holds is former Governer Bush. Gov. Bush never won the presidency and thus doesn't deserve the title President. The title "President" isn't merely a crown that can be handed to any loser by the Supreme Court.
So, on the marriage front, do male/female couples who marry and choose not to have children of their own fit the idea that it's a "cornerstone of family"? I don't believe they have any less right to be married than those who choose to bear children do. Oh, did I stumble upon something? The /real/ reason most Conservatives (is that title OK?) believe in marriage as being between a man and a woman is soley for recruiting purposes. Conservative parents have conservative babies! That's it! Carl Rove, you genious!
For a couple of the same sex to be married no more scars the idea that it's a familial union than it does when a married man and woman choose not to have children. It's two people, together in love who'd like to profess it to one another as a bond that will last forever.

Oh, and here's another not-so-subtle and equally discrediting title: flip-flopper. A man who's dedicated his life to service in the military and during his 20 years as senator deserves just as much respect "in title" as anyone else. Senator Kerry earned his title.

BRAVO Kevin!!! As I come across your site from time to time, I get a greater understanding of where life's path has taken you. And all I can say is "BRAVO!!!"
Not only are you a mere genius in my mind, but your ideas/philosophies run parralell to my own (although I am humble enough to know that your knowledge has far outreached my own).
I agree with you 100% on same sex marriages. If you found yourself down here in St. Croix, you would be flabber-gasped to see how big of an issue it has become. This little island, with so many gays/lesbians, also holds a very "church going" community which seems to despise anything a gay man/woman stands for (yet they say they accept them for who they are - how that works i don't know). This world is small and only getting smaller. For those of you out there who are so close minded - broaden your horizons and experiences. This world is a wonderful place to live. Don't alow something so petty of an arguement tp distroy your soul. People are people. Gay/straight/lesbian/bisexual/transexual/whatever... we're all human beings.
