Photos ~ Bead heaven at Shipwreck

Since out last trip a couple years ago, it's hard to remember just how large Shipwreck Beads is. We took my sister visiting from Scotland so she could stock up and endulge at one of her favorite places on the planet. This Costco-sized warehouse is stacked from floor to ceiling with beads, beads and more beads. They live in small clear drawers where you can pick invidividuals and in mounds of bags and even barrels with various scoopable assortments. Pillars in the store are completely covered in strands of beads that probably put a Mardis Gras parade in New Orleans to shame. By arriving at 3:30 this afternoon we forced a timeline on Toni since they closed at 6pm. She picked up some items for her friend and for herself and didn't break the bank at all. To help make our trip more efficient the employees were completely helpful at every step of the way.

Although leaving was somewhat bitter sweet for Toni, Sarah and I can always know that she'll always want to fly in here when she visits. Her relatives draw her in but the beads only sweeten the deal. ;)

Ooh, very pretty! I especially like the sparkly purple beads.

Definitely. And for me not being a crafty bead person at all there's still plenty to keep me entertained. So many shiny, pretty things...
