Showering with other couples

Sarah and I drove over to the 23rd Street area of downtown Portland to meet with our wedding photographer for the first time. We were familiar with his work from his website but needed to get together to let him in on final details concerning the main event. We spent less than a half hour going over the particulars of our wedding and another hour or more just chatting it up about camera-nerd stuff and whatever else came up. Needless to say Sarah and I left there feeling great about the person/photographer we hired.

After the great meeting, however, we shot straight back to Vancouver to meet up with a group of family, friends and family friends for a couple's shower hosted by Mandy. Although slightly late from our 9am with the photographer we made it there in great time and enjoyed a great party. The theme involved recipes and gifts to go along with them. Hanging near the front door was an apron Mandy encouraged everyone to sign with whatever cooking/relationship advice they wanted to dish up. Aside from the food and fun games Mandy put together a great three-panel poster covered with pictures of Sarah, me and many of the folks at the party. Thanks for the great recipes and gifts everyone! You can be sure it will all be lovingly utilized in the years to come.
