Stadium Bistro sneak peak

After a drink and some bangers and mash at Doyle's last night we stopped by next door to investigate the new bistro and chips places going in. Stadium Bistro chef Pete invited us in for a look. The 6,000 sq. ft. place is still pretty bare but, with most of the cement and excavation work finished, Pete seemed optimistic to meet a Sept. 10 opening date. The space will be divided into a wide range of uses from casual and intimate dining, a banquet area to a 1,200 sq. ft. kitchen and bar along the wall mirroring neighbor Doyle's. The exposed wood beams and supports (and I'm sure other decor) will help give the place a comfortable, quality feel without the pretentious attitude. Future patrons can look forward to American cuisine making use of organic ingredients from local vendors along with live combo jazz or other music.

Good luck to Pete and here's to his hard work paying off and helping enhance yet another corner of T-town!

Oh, and I don't have any details but Pete said the fish 'n chips place going in on the upper floor of the same building should be opening at the end of this month. Stay tuned...
