Tacoma Photo Gang - Shootin' da Tideflats

Tacoma Photo Gang mugshot, photo © 2007 Joel Parker This Sunday the Tacoma Photo Gang is forming back up to shoot up some of the grit and industry in the Tideflats. Oh, and by "shoot up" I mean "take many pictures of" though I'm sure you knew that. ;) Our group of local photo enthusiasts met up for the first time last month and had a great time photographing the area around UWT and the Brewery District. This time it is my pick for a location and we're heading toward sea level to enjoy all the textures of past and present working life in the Tideflats. Here's the details:

What: Tacoma Photo Gang, Shootin' da Tideflats
When: 2/18 @ 1pm (time updated to the afternoon)
Where: Meet at the Black Water Cafe [ map ] and we'll carpool from there.

We should only be a couple hours and I hope to hit locations that include views of downtown Tacoma from D Street, the old Asarco building, some Port activity, an old fire house on 11th, and some great old buildings on the east end of the Murray Morgan Bridge.

Come one, come all. Big camera or small! We're not a snooty bunch so photo newbies are always welcome. Charge those batteries and empty your memory cards 'cause there's plenty to shoot.
