Today's milestones

It's not often that so many facets of one's life converge in a pretty impressive way. Now, mind you, these aren't exactly Earth-shattering occurances but I do want to share with you a list of points that have made an impression on my life today. I'll start with the fun ones.

3,000 photos
That's right, I've posted nearly 3,000 photos on there here website. This website has always been a special place for me to emote about my life for family, friends and for myself and my future self. I constantly look back on old entries and, since the last year or so, can also enjoy my photos together with my writing. Whether or not some historian will ever find my ramblings useful is beside the point especially if someone I love or even possible future new friends has a chance to get to know me better by doing a little research. I've also had fun with the random photo pile on the homepage since it really foces me to take a step back in time once in a while and see what was going on. Sometime in the coming months I look forward to making a more browsable collection of my online photos as well.

After filtering many a spam comment I'm happy to reach that 4-digit number of comments here. I'm also proud of the fact that despite some controversial and/or offensive/threatening comments I've kept back as a sensor of it all and only taken away the rights of comment spammers looking to use my site's ratings to jack up some products (usually to do with male genitalia size) website. Anyway, whether you're sounding off on an issue or just wanting to get in touch for the first time in a long time, keep those comments coming.

3 months at SiteCrafting
Yup, already. I suppose if time's flying this fast I should feel good about my choice of employment. In that short time I already feel like a valuable part of our team and truly enjoy the challenges I've stepped up to thus far. Hitting the three month mark also means I'm official where my health benefits are concerned. I'm especially juiced because my plan includes provisions for alternative health care including acupuncture!

2 freelance websites launched
I just finished up two freelance projects and am now setting aside freelance in favor of strictly not-for-profit web work that includes websites for family and friends, expanding my list of extensions for Firefox and Thunderbird, and doing more writing in my profession. One of the two sites I particularly want to link to is that of a friend of Toni's who runs a store in Edinburgh with beautiful antique jewellery called Chic & Unique. It's been fun to work with the owner Moira and I truly hope she can expand her business through the tool I've created for her.

Nearly 7 years with Sarah
Sure we've only been married a little less than a year now but as of December 5 we will mark or seventh year together as a couple. That means a lot because ever since that day back in 1998 I've cared a great deal for her. As the days/months/years pass I only grow closer to the woman I married. It may not seem possible but I have more fun being with her all the time. I love you Sarah!

And that's the list! I also successfully re-modded our un-modded Xbox so we're back to utilizing it for what it can really do besides just playing games -- but I'll leave that for a more geeky entry. Cheers for now!

Woohoo! Glad I won't get tossed back -- I hate spawning! Gotta feel sorry for salmon. They swim upstream only to make babies and die.
