Touristing in Seattle
I took the day off work to join Sarah, her cousin and family on a tourist jaunt up to Seattle. After a pretty lazy start to the morning we headed north to the Emerald City. We snagged some parking in a lot across from the Seattle Center then grabbed some lunch inside their food court. My pizza dog went down well and gave me strength to ride the elevator to the top of the space needle. We all enjoyed the view and the stunning weather before heading down and across town to the Pike Place Market. Straight away the ladies headed for a drink from the first Starbuck's cafe then we wandered through the market not buying anything but enjoying the action and people watching. We the headed across town to University Village so the girls could enjoy some shopping and the guys could drool over tech toys at the Apple and Sony Styles stores.
We had a whirlwind day but truly enjoyed spending time with Kristal and family and playing the tourist in our own area. The stars were even out in beautiful form tonight so I setup the telescope and we all took a gander at Jupiter!
