Video & Photos ~ Ted Bartholomew woodturning
Had a chance yesterday to visit Gallery Madera downtown to meet a charming and talented man. Ted Bartholomew was visiting the wood shop there to do some woodturning on his lathe. The 88 year old was a joy to chat with and watch. He's worked with wood since the 1930s and is still teaching classes to this day. As Ted shaved off ribbons from a bad piece of wood from a monkey tree he told us how he can throw debris into a watch crowd as a way to help keep silly questions down. Pleasure to meet you Ted. Give him a call at 253-779-0819 or email Ted if you want to learn from the best.
Here's a video and some photos Sarah and I snapped.
