Where do you summer?

I can answer that question with great accuracy now because last Friday Gavin, Kristin, Sarah and I paid a visit to the blue, two-story house we're about to call home. We were lead on a tour through the place by its current tennants and, I must say, they're right when they use the word "character" to describe it. It's certainly not perfect but it has everything that we could really be hoping for in a first house. Sarah will be occupying the biggest bedroom in the house. She'll be separated from the rest of us by one story because the rest of us will be upstairs in smaller (albeit cheaper) rooms. Mine will be the smallest of the bunch, measuring in at just a little bigger than a storage closet. Across from me will be Kristin and next to her (and across from the "guy's" bathroom) will be Gavin. Now, for Gavin and I this is merely a temporary living arrangement. Starting at the beginning of the next full school year the house will be a four-woman pad which means that Gavin and I are out. We knew this from the start and have made plans for that time accordingly. Overall I'm really excited to give living off campus a shot. I wouldn't want to try it with any other three people.

In other news, life is working. I've not written here for a while and for that I apoligize. I'm greatful that anyone at all besides me and my mom read this site but sometimes I just get too caught up in life to worry about this endeavour. Have no fear though, as you can see by the sheer volume of past entries, I'm not calling it quits any time soon. As is evident in the last paragraph, Sarah was in town last weekend and was absolutely delightful to see again. It always amazes me how easy it is to miss someone when they leave you after a short visit. It's a great reminder to me that, hey, we're a good pair.

My finals are nearly over! This will be a great sign to let the summer begin. Aside from my living situation I'll be starting a new job here at PLU as a Network Technician for the summer and perhaps for the forseeable future. I'm sure it'll be a great chance for me to learn about the tangles of wires that keep college students like me connected to one another. Plus, although my loyalties reside with web development, it'll be nice to do something else for a while. With this job comes the ease of not having to commute to work. I'm sure someday I'll have to actually carry myself to work via some kind of fossil fuel powered device but for the time being I'm going to enjoy avoiding such transportation hassles.

I could ramble on an on... But I won't. Stay tuned for more soon. I don't plan on making these entries so infrequently.
