My Mom and Dad are top-notch Citizen Scientists with the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge. Since retiring to the Washington Coast they've spent many hours volunteering and getting to know some of the nature that surrounds them. On our way home today they took Connie and I on a walk to see some giant old growth trees somehow missed by past logging.
A wrinkly giant
Woodpecker hole happiness
A lovely moss coat at the end of a log
Dad or a blurry Bigfoot photo?
Up close with a gnarly giant
A bit in awe
Mom and Dad for scale in this panorama
Connie and I get to be scale too!
Loving the gnome stump
It's at least 4 Mom and Dads around
