This year we started just up from Columbia City on Beacon Hill. So, to get ourselves started, Connie and I met a couple friends for drinks and food at the nearby El Quetzal. The vibe of this place is great, there's a deck out back we'll surely hit up before summer's over and this unseasonal rain stops, the drinks were delicious, and the food hit the spot. And you should seriously see the size of their tortas!
Anyway, after a bucket of beer was shared we headed for the starting line of this years Dead Baby then followed the mob through the neighborhoods then down the hill towards Georgetown, blocking vehicle traffic all the way! Though the route wasn't through something as exciting/death-defying as downtown as it was last year, the festivities in Georgetown were fun. We saw Chaotic Noise, some crazy bike competitions, and plenty of happy people.
