Trek Across Tokeland
Connie and I joined other folks from the area and elsewhere on today's Trek Across Tokeland. We did two treks. The first was a lovely walk along the inner shoal and through some woods. Right as we started the sun came out for that. We rode our bikes to that starting point then up the road further to get some Indian fry bread before we started the second trek of the day. This hike was on tribal land through the forest and eventually to the top of a nearby ridge where we could see Tokeland from above and across Willapa Bay to the tip of the Long Beach peninsula. Despite some pretty intense brush we had to squeeze through we had a great time out and about!
