Long Beach, Cape Disappointment Bike Ride

This morning started out with a drive to my folks' new place in Long Beach. We helped them move their final truck of stuff in so their retirement can begin. After a great lunch at the local Lost Roo Connie and I headed slightly south to Ilwaco to go for a ride. We un-hitched our rides then headed straight into Cape Disappointment State Park -- straight up a hill. A really steep one was what welcomed us onto the Discovery Trail. From there the trail winds through the hills and forest sometimes on wooden boardwalks and others just normal asphault. We rode down the beach most of the way back to Long Beach then back into the park to visit the North Head lighthouse. The last bit back to the car we went along the road instead of the trail and loved every swooping, hilly, water view mile of it.

Plus, here's a video of a section of our ride. Enjoy!

We both mis-geared on a massive hill so sadly walked the rest of the way up it
