Stunner of an October Sunrise

I'm always keen to photograph and share sunrises like this. Especially as the cloudy and darker months descend upon us here in the Pacific Northwest....
Today started of literally with a bang via some rare summer thunder. From there D20 Brass Band banged our drums and tooted our horns at Microsoft's Image Cup. In the afternoon I banged on our deck to finish replacing any squishy boards. Tonight it was a colorful and cloudy light show of epic proportions followed by Connie's famous (or, it should be, anyway) homemade potato and BBQ chicken.
