Wingman Brewers Dome District Grand Opening

On a crystal clear, warm Northwest day like this what's a couple to do other than go for a long walk and drink beer? That's what Connie and I did the latter half of today. We headed out from my apartment on foot and strolled through downtown then along the Thea Foss Waterway. Our destination was Wingman Brewers opening up in their new location in the Dome District.

Their garage door was rolled up and people filled the place all enjoying tasty brews from Wingman and other local brewer Airways. The spot feels great for a taproom with simple raised bar at one side, tanks in the back, a couple classic video games, and not much else. The beers were solid. Though they didn't have their porter on today I enjoyed a couple Airways CDA's and, more of note, their amazing rootbeer. It was great hanging out with Connie, her friend Valerie, my buddy from town Paul, and tons of other great Tacoma folks!

We wound down with a walk back to Galanga Thai for dinner then some Netflix at my place. Not a terrible Saturday, if you ask me. ;)

Totally want to make a keg light for myself sometime

Keeping it classy with a BBQ lighter (but, I admit, Connie's hand-rolled smokes with amazing tobacco are like tasty little mini cigars!)
